Numerology is the belief that numbers have spiritual meaning and goes back thousands of years. I came into Numerology as something I thought would just be a fun way to explore because I love numbers! I remember a lot of them from childhood. House numbers, phone numbers, zip codes, area codes, very random, but come to find out they hold meaning. That led me to research it more and discovering how my birth date numbers say even more about me than my Zodiac sign. I. WAS. HOOKED!
Your Life Path Number is like the headline of your Soul’s Story — it reveals your natural gifts, personality patterns, challenges, and soul purpose.
Let’s find yours — it’s easy math (promise).
Step 1: Write Down Your Full Birth Date
We’re talking: Month/Day/Year (mm/dd/yyyy)
Let’s use an example:
July 15, 1992
Step 2: Add Each Section Separately
We’ll reduce each part (month, day, year) to a single digit, unless you hit a Master Number (11, 22, or 33 — more on that in a sec).
1. Month:
July = 7 (already a single digit)
2. Day:
15 → 1 + 5 = 6
3. Year:
1992 → 1 + 9 + 9 + 2 = 21
Then 2 + 1 = 3
Step 3: Add Your Three Final Numbers Together
7 (month) + 6 (day) + 3 (year) = 16
1 + 6 = 7
Life Path Number = 7
A Note About Master Numbers:
If at any step you get 11, 22, or 33, stop there — don’t reduce it further.
These are called Master Numbers and carry a higher level of intensity and spiritual purpose.
Example:
If your final total is 11 — that is your Life Path Number (not 2).
Same goes for 22 and 33.
Also, if any of your numbers are 11, 22 or 33 while you’re trying to add them all together, those do not get simplified.
So if your birth month is November (11), you would add 11 to the rest of the numbers. Again, you would not simplify.
